The Differences between the Bible and Qur'an and Jesus and Muhammad
(You can translate the captions into your own language)

In this episode of "Christ in Prophecy" Dr. David Reagan interviews a former Muslim Mark Gabriel. Mark Gabriel was a professor of Islamic History at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. Al-Azhar University is the world's premier university for Islamic teaching. He was a devout Muslim, raised in a devout Muslim family, regular attended a mosque and memorized the entire Qur'an by the age of twelve years old!

In this interview Mark Gabriel shows all the differences between the Bible and the Qur'an. He also describes the amazing parallels between Jesus and Muhammad's lives and their own ministries.

1) The Creator is One God yet in the scriptures God describes Himself in a plural manner then in other cases in a singular manner to suggest plurality or diversity that is in perfect unity:

Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness...

Isaiah 44:6
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel (FATHER GOD), and his redeemer the LORD of hosts (JESUS); I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Deuteronomy 6:4-5
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is "one" LORD:
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Above "one" is from the Hebrew word "echad" which means "compound unity"; "collective oneness"; "plurality in unity." Like a bunch of grapes that are numerous yet considered united as one cluster.

2) Salvation is reserved to God alone, Jesus claimed to be the Savior of mankind in the Bible. He claimed to be God and even one with God:

Isaiah 59:16
And he (God) saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no INTERCESSOR: therefore HIS ARM (Jesus) brought SALVATION unto him; and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, it sustained him.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child (Jesus Christ) is born, unto us a SON is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, The EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 63:16
Doubtless thou art our FATHER, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our FATHER, our REDEEMER; thy name is from EVERLASTING.

3) Jesus Himself declared that He was in fact one with God, the Father and would dwell with His people:

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Matthew 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be with child (Jesus), and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US.

John 14:23
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and WE (Jesus and the Father) will COME unto him, and make OUR ABODE with him.

Isaiah 57:15
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I DWELL in the high and holy place, WITH him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

4) God is identified as a Holy Trinity in the Bible; like a Tribunal of three persons yet one Authority:

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Luke 3:22
And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him (Jesus), and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

Matthew 28:19
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

I encourage you to read Psalms Chapter 2, which records a war council in heaven where Trinity God speaks His plan against the wicked on earth who rise up against God which is recorded in Psalms 2.

Psalm 2: 1-5 Holy Spirit speaking
Psalm 2:6 God the Father speaking
Psalm 2:7-9 God the Son (here the Son quotes the Father)
Psalm 2:10-12 Holy Spirit speaking
